Arkansas Warren
Carter III has been director of Arkansas Farm Bureau's Commodity
& Regulatory Affairs Department since 2002. In that position,
he is responsible for helping Farm Bureau members and leaders make
and implement policy, and for his department's role as liaison with
various groups related to the twelve commodity divisions in the
organization.
Carter joined Farm Bureau in 1987 with a master's degree in Agricultural
Economics from Mississippi State University. For some 10 years he
worked with the Wheat & Feed Grains, Aquaculture and Forestry
divisions and with the state Wheat Promotion Board. For six years,
he was the department's associate director, coordinator of the Soybean
and Rice divisions, and administrator for the state Soybean &
Rice Promotion boards.
A Mississippi native, Carter grew up on a soybean, cotton and cattle
farm near Mantee. He received his bachelor's degree in Ag Economics
from MSU in 1986. He is on the board of directors of Arkansas Foundation
for Agriculture.
