Originally from Hertfordshire, England, Cheryl made her home in Texas in 1983. She joined Texas AgriLife Extension Service as a secretary in 1999 when she and her husband, Paul, decided to leave the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and purchase a farm near Stephenville where they grow hay and raise American Quarter and Paint horses. Cheryl and her husband share their home with their twelve-year-old son, Cameron, five horses, four dogs, and a donkey! Cheryl and Paul also have two daughters and two grandsons. Prior to her move back to the country, Cheryl enjoyed a successful career in real estate sales management and property management.

Cheryl recently celebrated ten years of service beginning as Dr. Stokes' assistant during his time as an Extension Economist for Texas AgriLife Extension Service and at the Southern Center from its inception.
